What you will need:

  • Boring mirror
  • A decorative stencil of your choice.
  • Scissors
  • Masking Tape
  • Small bristled paintbrush
  • Frost Effect Paint
  • A lightly coloured paint (think pale blue or lavender)
  • Toothpick

Method:

  1. Tape your stencil around the border of your mirror with masking tape. Make copies of the stencil if it can’t fit all the way around to see the full effect.
  2. Mix the frost effect paint with your desired coloured paint. (The more vibrant you want your mirror, the more coloured paint you should use).
  3. Brush on a light coat making sure to get in all the nooks and crannies of the stencil. Remove the stencil while the paint is still wet. Clean up any leaks or messes with the end of a toothpick. For larger leaks wrap a tiny piece of toilet paper around the end of the toothpick.
  4. Align the stencil up to the parts of the mirror you have yet to do and repeat the painting process.
  5. Once dry you will have a beautifully rated mirror.
